   • Sliding bearing: Plain bearings can handle higher loads, but are generally used in higher-torque, more powerful weapons.

4. Maintenance and service life:

   • Ball bearing: Ball bearings generally require less maintenance and can last longer.

   • Sliding bearing: Plain bearings wear over time and may require regular lubrication or replacement.
