Airsoft BBs , or small plastic bullets, are the only acceptable type of ammunition for airsoft guns. These are usually 6 mm in caliber, but are available in various weights, starting at 0.12 grams. Airsoft ammunition is made of various polymers, the quality of which depends on the accuracy of the processing.

Types and characteristics of BBs

Standard 6mm airsoft ammo is made of plastic, but recently biodegradable BBs have become increasingly popular. They are made from natural materials such as a mixture of starch and sugar and decompose in a moist environment.

Weight of BBs and performance of airsoft guns

6mm BBs vary in weight! It can be 0.12 g , 0.20 g , 0.25 g , 0.28 g , 0.30 g , or heavy BBs, which means BBs over 0.36 g . The choice of weight depends on the performance of the airsoft gun! The heaviest BBs are also available in our range: 0.40g, 0.43g, 0.45g, 0.48g up to 0.50g.

How to choose a suitable BB?

The lightest 0.12g BBs work best with spring loaded airsoft guns, while guns with higher muzzle velocities require heavier ammo. Thus, we recommend 0.20g for AEP pistols, while more than 0.25g for AEG weapons, while for sniper replicas we recommend BB around 0.45g.
